Wk-21 Hobbies

I like to make practical things out of old recycled horse shoes. Although i haven't made anything for a little while.

Here is a coat/tool rack i made. There's a lot of work involved, lots of cleaning, de-rusting using an angle grinder, electrolysis, wire brush. As well as the welding, which is the most enjoyable bit for me.

Very Nice Dominic, Super lighting there in the first shot. Hard to beat a bit of molten metal action, reminds of a guy that used to make scenes from MIG wire, he did a chap riding a bicycle down an old cobbled street, incredible to look at but not practical at all.

Very skillful and beautiful utilization of the horseshoes and the shadows in the second shot give me a stunning sense of speed and freedom with the vast flowing "mane"

I really like that, it has a great feel. I can almost smell the metal. I think you might have blown some of the highlights though! ;0)

(I wonder if there's a camera in existence that wouldn't... I'm guessing no)

Love those, excellent ;)

That's just nuts :)

Nice set :)

Really interesting and creative hobby Dominic, I'm impressed.

Love your weathered shots great set for the theme.

Great welding shot, I’ve done a few and drama is never far from the camera. Good hobby, great to see something useful being crafted.

I like your weathered nuts. Now there’s a sentence.

I love the simplicity of the whole set. Really minimal, but with lots to look at. The rust tones in #3 are lovely.
