Focusing the View Camera

Tilt/swing on a 35mm cameras is NOTHING like the real thing on a view camera. Apart from anything else, it's only available on the front.

I rather dislike tilt/swing; but all of my experience with it has been with 35mm.
Until a few months ago I had a Nikon PCE 85mm. I've only used it a few times in the years I've had it.

I never warmed to it; I found it fiddly, difficult and limiting compared to a camera with movements, and in the end just stopped even trying to use it.

The original idea was to just drop a bit of tilt into close ups, as I might have done with a 5x4, but it just didn't work for me

It absolutely is; and you can't even preview the whole image with enough detail (digital) or at all (film) which is a major pain. I still have my 24mm PC-E which I use with/without (modified) TC's... but it's probably been 2 yrs since it's seen daylight.
