Yes
Is it me or are there others that hate polystyrene? Just purchased a new TV and it came covered in the stuff, some of it I could not break it was so thick, we have to break it down because the refuse men won't take it so we have to break it down and put bit by bit in a bin bag amongst the rest of the household bags ( one bag every two week collection) by the time we get rid of it all it's time to buy another new TV  , about time the companies who use this stuff caught up with the rest of us and start using biodegradable packaging. Rant over. Russ.

Couldn't agree more.........

I surmise it is cheaper than the excellent cardboard engineering and/or moulded paper based packing which unlike polystyrene is readily recycled as appropriate.

Agreed. I now make regular trips to the local recycling centre with cardboard boxes, polystyrene and other packaging, and sometimes our excess general waste.
