Just bought one as a first foray into macro photography. Looking forward to it arriving.

Seems to have good reviews.

Anyone have any experience of this lens ?
 
had one a few years ago the 105 would have been a better choice
 
Thanks for posting the photo taken with the lens. Wanted to try macro for a while and the price was right so went for it. Want to image some Fungi.
 
I've had one of these on and off over the years, and it's a spectacular lens. It works quite well in many situations; obviously, it is a really good macro lens but also works well for portraits, as long as you like the crystal-clear output. A Swiss-army knife of a lens, works great on FX and DX and it is a true 1:1 macro to boot so you can't go wrong imho. ;)

Yes but the 60mm can be used for copying slides as well so is a little more versatile.
