Mind you, there were quite a few people facing ESE, using cereal packet projectors to view it. I found the A4 sheet of Baayer film that I will eventually use to make a cap type filter for the Fuji 100-400. Cut the sheet down to 2x A5 and taped the halves to board frames. As expected, the hilltop was fairly packed (which was fine) with a horde of uncontrolled brats running wild (which was less so!)

My filter is a sheet of Baader film and a cereal packet, all taped and stapled onto a tube to slide over the lens
I was initially looking for a hill, but finding one west facing with a car park on the edge for the scopes....... well there were a couple but I figured they'd be rammed (and they were). Lovely big east-west runway half a mile up the road but I'm not allowed on that. Then I realised there's a spot behind the house with a clear view. Phew!
