Fuji Xpro1 flashes

I’m still using my old Fuji Xpro1 and can’t really justify or afford to upgrade the body, Lenswise I’m ok with a 35mm, 18-135 and a 60mm macro. Back in the day I had full frame Nikon stuff which was awesome but heavy, the thing I really miss most is the Nikon flashes, power, functionality, reliability was great. What are people using on their older Fuji bodies? I do have a Fuji Ef-42 which isn’t great and a Godox tt350 which is better but I find a little hit and miss with exposures etc in Ettl. Anyone any good or bad thoughts?

I have used one of these on my Fuji kit and also an 'L' version on my Leica Q2M, they work well for the size.

I’d generally argue for a full sized flashgun. So a Godox TT685 or one of the V series with a lithium battery.
If you want to save a little bulk the V480 might do the trick.

But if you really really only want a small flash, the it32 is an absolute game changer. I’m waiting for a larger version which I think could be the last flash I ever buy.

The problem with inconsistency in the tt350 is more likely it’s cycling rather than the TTL algorithm, it’s a lovely little flash, but 2 AA batteries isn’t a sensible proposition for a flashgun no matter how small.

Same here...surely they can build that (Not exactly new) technology into something like a TT685!
I’d be happy with the 480 size.

But looking at the it32 maybe they don’t feel that magnetic mechanism is secure enough for a bigger flash.

Just a guess cos I’m fairly sure they’d intimated that further larger flashes would follow.

Any decent old Godox flash will work in manual . I never shoot ttl I just keep working on getting the exposure right. Basic trigger will work on your set up.
Good luck with it
