    M1mk2 manual mode exposure compensation?

I am still trying to get to grips with my EM1mk2 and it's controls. Something I have not sussed yet is how to set it up to be able to quickly do exposure compension when in manual mode (with auto ISO). Front and rear dials are for aperture and shutter so how best to get to exposure compensation...

Sony highlight metering vs zebra setting query

Hi.... I have a Sony RX100 vii and am a bit confused by the highlight metering. I haven't posted in the specific RX100 thread because I assume the same metering is used by other Sony cameras so someone using those may also be able to offer advice. The issue is as follows.... When I use...

Why is exposure time limited to a maximum of 30 seconds?

Have started to play around with long exposures and wondering why the built in exposure time is limited to a maximum of 30 seconds. Would be good not to have to rely on bulb mode and a remote. Anyone know the answer? And if any camera allows for longer exposures? Stephen

    Fraggle Rock

Took a scouting trip over to Digley Reservoir to see if it has anything, it does, but I can't see me returning any time soon. Anyway I did come back with something. Fraggle Rock by Mr Drizz, on Flickr

    Rocky 1, 2 and 3

So went back to Llanddwyn Island with no real idea of what I wanted to capture. So did a little experimenting and here's the results. One thing I will add, the Cokin filter I own have to go, the colour cast is very hard to correct, it's compounded if you say have a .3 ND and then add a grad. The...

    Buachaille Etive Mor

Must be the most photographed mountain in UK, but it was the first time for me. Got up at 0430 and drove 2h for the sunrise. The best light however was hitting the mountain around 1hr after the sunrise. The time was spent chatting to two other photographers. I welcome your comments.

    Lytham St Ann's Jetty (fail)

Took a quick drive up to Lytham St Ann's this evening, forgetting to actual check wind speeds. Needless to say it was blustery :D And those condition don't lend themselves to long exposures and the result is not what I had in mind, a return is in order. Not that happy but not that disappoint...

    Back to Blundellsands

So I went back to Blundellsands Sailing Club to see how high, high tide was. I wasn't as high as I thought and it left me wondering if people actually go out in the boats that are moored there. anyway there wasn't any kind of sunset, I didn't expect one, but I still managed to squeeze off a few...

    First time at Llanddwyn Island

So took a quick trip (if a 4 hour round journey is quick) over to Llanddwyn island in Angelsey. I was hoping for a decent sunset, but that didn't happen so I spent some of the time trying out long exposures of the rocks out in the sea. Here's a couple. by Mr Drizz, on Flickr by Mr Drizz...

    Sea Guard

I've wanted to try this shot for a long time, got a chance today. I am happy with it but for sure will revisit it as I want this scene as a print. Went at the wrong time of day really, although overcast the sun was high in the sky making it a little too bright, I had to stack 3 ND's and put the...

    Beginner MANUAL EXPOSURE HELP PLEASE!

Hi, So I'm currently doing an assignment for my photography course, where my tutor wants me to take a photo of a person or something of similar size, 2 metres distant with a background that isn't plain. I then have to set my exposure to its widest (f/4.5) and match the shutter speed, then stop...
