So I've been thinking about a new modifier. After research I believe a parabolic softbox will give me the light control and contrast etc. To produce the looks I want. Wondering whether people have any particular suggestions as what to get/avoid etc. I am on a budget, so not looking to spend...

Any useful comments or experience on using the shallower parabolic umbrellas? I thought I might have a play with one and am wondering how others put them to use?
