A couple from my walk in the Dales today that seem to work better in portrait rather than landscape.
I realise they are not going to be award winners but do they work compositionally? Any comments appreciated as my landscape photography is an area I'm keen to improve...
I was challenged by a friend to go out and take some landscape photos only using a 50mm prime lens. Below is my vlog to this challenge. If you enjoyed it please give it a like and consider a subscribe to follow me when out and about with my camera.

Hello All,
I've only recently joined but thought that I probably ought to post an image. So here's one from earlier in the week. I saw the colours as I was having coffee in the kitchen and just ran out into the garden to snap this. It was taken before golden hour and the colours died very...
Had a day out in the Yorkshire Dales yesterday to a new waterfall weve never been to. The place is called Cautley Spout. Was a really cool place and one of the best things compared to the Lake District, there wasn't many people around. We went to Aira Force next to Ullswater in the lake district...
Visited Duncombe Park Steam Rally on Sunday, wasn't as good as the previous year but managed to capture a view images.

I've been trying to get back into photography for ages, and I've decided on a '52' as the vehicle to do it.
I did 2 consecutive 365s in 2010-11, but felt that was just too much commitment to do again.
I'm not doing the TP traditional 52 though as I'm doing this one with my mum.

Hello
The other evening I visited an art installation as part of the City of Culture. There were 4 locations in the City of Hull. These were taken at Trinity Square. It involves robotic arms with lights and was a perfect opportunity for some long exposure shots.

First visit to Brimham Rocks, interesting place. A cliche but I went for the lone tree shot.
This is the correct one.

A Frosty Morning
A cold winter's morning in rural North Yorkshire, the sun is slowly rising and beginning to melt away the lingering fog and the frost on the trees and surrounding farmland.

So took my first trip to the Malham cove area in the Yorkshire Dales with the plan to get this picture. I couldn't believe just how calm it was, not even a wisp of a breeze. Great as the tree didn't move, bad because the the clouds didn't move much which isn't ideal for a long exposure...
