“Lightroom” for Video ??

I have just started shooting video from my Drone
Up until now all my photography has been stills and I use Lightroom to Catalog and Basic editing
I wondered what people were using for video for similar functionality ?

I know Lightroom can import video but not sure much beyond that

I use lightroom simply as a cataloguing system for my video's. It simply allows me to quickly view shots and to some extent edit them,i.e. those that are not usable. Also it helps with renaming.as you can select a group and give it a name and you'll get take numbers. For example, a group of takes for a particular scene will be labelled Scenexx 01..02 03 . You can quickly preview them and decide which you are going to use.I find this easier than taking them into Final Cut and having to audition them all there.

I don't attempt to colour grade or edit them ( you can't really do that in Lightroom easily anyway) it's just a preview application for video in my case. I'll choose the likely candidates and then import them directly from the HD and not export from Lightroom
 
Thanks that’s great advice. Had wondered about using Lightroom to Catalog but wasn’t sure if there was a better option
Will have a trial of both
