1.4 x convereter on 70-300 L

I think I've heard it will work with a kenko 1.4xpro 300 DGX
But don't order one on my advice, I'm nowhere near certain of that.
The problem is that it doesn't actually physically fit the canon ones, so there's a fair chance it won't fit any TC full stop.
 
I'm not a Canon userso cant really comment but this might be worth a read (Kenko DGX) esp the last comments regarding the kenko....

Like I said I know nowt about Canon lenses so not sure if this is the same lens as they're mentioning - but its read if you have a coupleon minutes to spare....

I'm guessing the reason that the Canon one doesn't fit is because of the protruding front element and there being no recess in the 70-300mm to accommodate it.

The kenko one should fit as it doesn't have the sticky outy bit. As to how well it works, I don't know.

Some reading unless you start from the last post.

It seems the Kenko Pro DGX green spot does work with the 70-300 L.

If anbody has both 70-300 L lens and above coverter would love to hear more and see some pics.
