I'm a semi-professional journalist, and I'm looking to buy a new camera. It needs to be weather-proof and capable of filming HD videos. The 7D caught my attention, but it looks rather old; not to mention, a couple of websites are saying that Canon might release a newer version in September.
Would the 650D do the job then? The 7D looks a bit more rugged, but the difference in price doesn't seem to be worth it.
I don't know much about Nikon.
