OK I'm after a wide angle lens for my 1D mkIV as we know if you want auto focus (which I do
) there is a rather limited choice.
I don't want and can't justify paying for a 14mm, but can stretch to either the 17-40 or 16-35. I understand the advantage of f2.8 , and believe the 16-35 has a tiny bit of extra IQ.
Now I understand that 1mm difference at small focal lengths is much more noticeable than at longer lengths, but how much wider is 16 than 17.
I'd love to see the same scene shot at both lengths if any kind person is able to do that
If there is a another lens I've missed, shout out ( I'm not sure about the IQ on the sigma 12-24)
