I like the second one of the people in the snow.

Yep, again the snow scene with the walkers. I really like that one.

I'm not an expert landscape photographer by any means, but here are my thoughts.

1) That looks like a nice location and a good place to revisit. I would prefer some more foreground interest and perhaps lose the blown out sky at the top of the frame. The picture also looks a little (excuse the pun) washed out, like you've lifted the shadows and blacks too far, and the whites in the waterfall itself are also a little blown. There's also an odd magenta tint to the water in the pool which makes it look a bit like there's oil on the surface. Were these shot in RAW or are they JPEGs?

2) This one has a nice film-look to it and I like it. I'd be tempted to frame the tree a little further to the left as I don't think it works as well in a central position. I quite like the inclusion of the fence and think it works in the photo (even though, had I taken the shot, I think I might have left it out - to the detriment of the photo). I'd maybe go for slightly less contrast (but not too little).

3) You've caught the flow of the water nicely, but I think the composition could be more interesting - maybe some more foreground interest, and I'd definitely lose the top bit of the frame with the sky, fence and rooftop.

4) Again, I think it needed a different composition. Possibly different light too - I can see from the shadows of the trees that it was probably reasonably bright. Flatter light might've worked better (or even better, if you can get there when it occurs, fog and mist). There;s nothing really to grab my eye though, it's an avenue of trees without any real focal point, and the branches get pretty busy in the background.

5) I'll agree with other people here and say that this is by far the best shot. The composition is quite nice, but most of all it really gives a sense of the conditions when you took the photograph - a proper winter shot, and I could easily see it on in a newspaper acompanying a "Britain hit by Arctic blast"-type story. It could maybe do with some different post-processing to give it a bit more contrast, but that's subjective.

I'd suggest shooting in RAW (if not already) to give more leeway to recover highlights and shadows when post processing, and perhaps re-consider the composition of the shots when you're at the location to see what works the best. It's all a (hopefully enjoyable!) learning curve - one that I'm on myself. :)
