I'm sitting here in front of the Hyundai one just now & it's a cracker

Also interested in the Hyundai but read a few comments about the glossy finish causing reflections...how do you find it ?

I tend to look at the image on screen so don't notice the glossy bezel. One thing that did annoy me initially was the touch sensitive buttons, which you cant actually see!

I personally use the Dell 2407WPF R.04, and the HP 2475, which is an H-IPS panel. If you have the money, I full recommend either, though the HP is technically a better monitor.

Blimey - all this help doesn't make choosing any easier....!
I have emailed a few companies about shipping the Lenovo or the HP out to me in Spain and have found a company happy to ship the Dell 2408 - buying out here would add about 60% to the price of any of them, making shipping seem worthwhile.
I am also chasing up reviews on other makes - thanks to all for the volume of replies, though it would be nice if you could all just get together and suggest one screen, thus making my decision easier...

You soon forget about the bezel (and you can't see it in the dark). The touch buttons are a pain but once you have it set up you don't need to touch them again.

I've been using LCD monitors for over 10 years & this is the best so far

Thanks for that, but I think that I am going to go for the silly-money 2407, which is an ultrasharp screen, and a PVA type - no idea what that means really, but I am told they are better than the TN type, which the 2409w is (hence, so I am told, the price difference)
Could be the old story about a fool and his borrowed money (thanks Visa !)

TN -> faster screen for gaming, poor viewing angles
PVA -> wider viewing angle so better for photoshop (and still good for gaming)

The new HP LP2475w got a pretty sweet review here. And, after seeing this thread on AVForums, I ordered it via HP's website. So, top class 24" monitor (hopefully!) for 330 delivered, can't go wrong. Hopefully the 15% voucher still works?

RE: S-IPS vs TN Film - The TN film panels cannot display 8bit per pixel colour, they can display up to 6bit per pixel, and commonly use a dither to compensate for that fact. an S-IPS panel is 8bit per pixel, so each pixel can display a wider variety of colours. As others have mentioned S-IPS panels have much better viewing angles. The only thing TN panels have on them is that TN panels are capable of a faster response time.
