24-70 2.8

Sadly, around £799 at the moment. Fabulous lens, but a truckload of cash.
 
18 months ago under £600 was common place, but thanks to Gordon and the BOE the £ is worth as much as a Romanian spangle and we get to pay more for our toys!!!!!:bang:
 
Considered the new Sigma 24-70 HSM - meant to be very comparable to the canon, some reviews saying slightly better some saying slightly worse.

Can pick it up for about £700 new
 
Or even an old non-HSM 24-70 Sigma.

The good copies of that lens will be close to the performance of the 24-70 (no weather sealing though) but they do vary a fair bit. Much cheaper though!
