'24-70' 3rd party options for Nikon (manual override)

I'm looking at the Tamron 28-75mm, which I know has a MF/AF slide switch down at the bottom of the lens barrel. Is there another lens option that has an easier/quicker way to get to manual? (I doubt any would have manual override excepting Nikon's own 24-70..)

I believe you are correct in your assumption. afaik, all other 3rd party lenses of that range are actual switches to toggle between AF/MF. Nikon, as you say, is the only one with manual over ride.

As I figured. Guess I'll just need to get into the habit of using that switch, or maybe leaving it in manual on some occasions.

Yup: HSM ensures a quiet and high speed AF as well as full-time manual focus override by rotation of the focus ring.
