Sorry but i don't understand posts like this. If it were me i'd want to win it genuinely rather than on how many online contacts i have.

I just feel like i'd be doing the other people (who's entries i've not seen) in contention a disservice if i voted.

If you can give me a link that shows me all the entries then i'll vote on my favourite.

Sorry but I don't understand posts like this. If it were me and I had nothing *constructive* to add I'd just stay out of it and move on to the next thread.

They're all there in the link I posted. Some of them you should find through Google, after all they're high profile affairs from well established, well connected organisations; others depend to a greater or lesser extent on "posts like this" to help raise awareness amongst communities of individuals who share a common interest.

Thing is I'm up against some major events and high profile displays and need all the help I can get just to get on the scoresheet.

One of the shortlisted exhibitions is a 40ft sculpture that has occupied prime tourism real estate throughout the summer and was brought here by one of the country's leading contemporary art galleries. For hundreds - maybe even thousands - of voters, seeing this in the paper/ TV or maybe driving past it without even getting up close and personal will be the closest they've got to any of the nominated entries. I mean, I'm creatively and culturally active in the city and even from that involved position there's two of the entries I've never even heard of.

Of course, there's no compulsion to vote but IMO neither is there any obligation to experience every conceivable alternative in the process of expressing ones preference.

Your link takes me to a page for voting, just a drop down list with no meaning to me, not a page for viewing those pics entered to the contest.

For some reason, I can't see an easily accessible route to the entries  If you honestly expect any of us to Google the entries on a drop down list for a competition we've never heard of before then good luck to you.

I think you need to re-think your strategy as you could be losing potential votes here.

All the best to you.

Thanks for taking the time to click through :)

You're right about the voting page. There are no pics to view as the voting is for exhibitions that have already been held. A small selection of pics from my exhibition are in my OP but that's it.

I'm asking you to vote for my exhibition; I'm not asking you to choose your favourite from all the nominated exhibitions. You are of course free to do so, but in that case you'll have to get Googling.

Vote for me threads should be banned from the forum...

aye, tis cheating TBH, if your work is good enough to stand on its own you shouldnt need to ask people to bias the vote.

Seeing as you couldn't be bothered to link to your competition, I'll do it for you:

That took 5 minutes you lazy sod, and I agree with everyone who pointed out that you were wrong to post in such a biased fashion.

I voted for Hammond btw.
