2TB HDD's

After 2x 2TB internal sata2 hard drives 32mb cache, cheapest i can find is £250 each for some crappy WD green drive thing.

Anyone know of anywhere cheaper?

2TB hdd's are expensive at the moment. Have you considered a 1.5TB?

For the price of 2 x 2tb's i'd be tempted to get a Nas Box and 4 x 1tb drives. As the price of 2tb's come down you could replace them all.

I guess it depends on what he needs them for. NAS is great - but tends to be considerably slower at caching thumbnails etc than USB/backplane.
