After the disappointment of my new Jessops flash, I was very pleased with the grip that arrived today from China.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....93489&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_3233wt_1167 Yes, its a bit plasticy but hey, it makes my 30D MUCH nicer to use! A quick question...does anyone know if it is supposed to sit flush with the camera body? Mine doesn't there is a minor gap all the way round even when screwed in tightly. Just wondered if this is a minor drawback of using a thrd party grip or not.

tks :)

Hi sorry can't help you regarding the gap, but don't over tighten the grip, there are various threads on here with the grips getting stuck

Thanks, I once almost messed up a compact this way, always extra careful nowadays. :)

I think they were the genuine Canon grips (plastic gears), all the 3rd party grips I've heard of have metal gears
