Help required, not sure what to go for, both same price although 30D I will require to buy a kit lens.

I know the 30D will be in very good condition and has done under 6k clicks.

Just after advice as to what to go for?? Is there a great deal of difference??

The 1000D is the basic entry level EOS, the 30D more 'prosumer'. Depends what exactly you want it for. Also, if you already have a nikon, why change as I assume you already have at least one lens for the nikon?

Sold all the Nikon equipment so going Canon route now.

Had a D50 Nikon and wanted to upgrade from there, so guessing 30D is better route ?

Usually take motorsport pictures or of family etc.
 
30D all day, its an evolution of the 20D and several hundred thousand wedding togs can't be wrong :lol:

The 30D it should be then. Faster FPS and better AF than the 1000D. Depending on budget you might be able to stretch to a 40D as they have dropped in price recently.

That's a very kind offer and thank you for it, although think I can get a 18-55mm within the budget at the same time :-)
