400d v 40d

Would I be better off with a 400d gripped or a 40d ungripped I saw a 40d ungripped on here and was really tempted to buy but was unsure if I would miss having a grip on the camera Tried the 400 without for a while but found I started to miss the feel of the grip so I let 40d slip away now Im wondering should I have bought it and got use to no grip

40D I reckon - I reckon it feels more comfortable in the hand than the 400D, and you'll get additional balance/weight as it's a more substantial camera??

I'd rather have the 40d if it were me, not just for the grip and feel, but for the features too (had a 400d before). You could always get a grip for the 40d too
