40d Battery cover

:razz::razz::razz: I want to play with my new battery grip but I can't seem to get my battery cover off. How do you do it?

I'm having a little girl stamp feet style tantrum here

Glad you managed it, I found mine a bit tricky too, think the previous 30D/20D/400D design was muh better. worries me a little that the plastic slot may break in time or if you don't quite get the angle right before pulling.
This is the only criticism I have of the 40D, the rest is brill.

I got a paper clip to push down one of the thingies and pulled gently. Am a bit paranoid about pulling it too hard and snapping it, as that's my usual way

Hehe, it took me a while as well.

You have to open the cover to about 45degrees and pull and it comes off very easily. I think RTFM would have helped no end as the diagrams basically tell you exactly that!

It also took me a while to realise you can store the cover in the grip as well! :bonk:
