I have bought a used 40d (£250) it seemed a good price, and I know it's history, I wanted to check if anybody knew what version the latest firmwae was? this ones 108 if I remember rightly. Wayne

Thanks everybody for the replies.
No it is a 40d, and it's not hot either, the guy selling it works part time for us (as a tog) he's just got a 50d for £700 (body only) the shop offered him £250 for his camera trade in, so we offered the same and his own job! lol. Wisely he took the better offer, and I'm up a 40d. We wouldn't really have sacked him though, but don't tell him that, I might want his 50d next year. Wayne

If you are looking for firmware, software updates etc. take a look at this page clickity click It's a new web site I am working on and is very much "still a work in progress", but there is a comprehensive list of where to find all the latest updates for the whole range of Canon, Nikon and Sony slr's.
