Looks supiciously like it was once a Vivitar 50mm f1.7 which could have been made by god knows who.

What do I know? HorusBennu are a BIG company in Korea BTW. Same might have been said about Samyang and their fisheye lenses, and look how good they turned out to be :thinking:

I'm just sharing information, so what anyone does or doesn't do with it is up to them :cool: They make some wonderful CF combo monopod/tripods BTW.
 
I'm not really in the loop with modern K-Mount stuff, but is there any reason why you shouldn't just get a used Pentax-M SMC 50mm f/1.7 prime? There were so many made that they would be cheaper than this, and they are fantastic little performers.

I have one of these that I use on my Canon 450D and it is a fantastically sharp and little lens!
