I've had a 5D Mk3 for about a month now, previously having owned a Mk2.
I upgraded because I photograph dogs and I wanted to take advantage of the upgraded autofocus system. I mostly shoot moving dogs and use AI servo and back-button focussing when shooting. However, I'm still not sure which of the autofocus settings to use.
I main take four types of dog photo:
Anyone else photograph dogs of something similar?
Thanks
I upgraded because I photograph dogs and I wanted to take advantage of the upgraded autofocus system. I mostly shoot moving dogs and use AI servo and back-button focussing when shooting. However, I'm still not sure which of the autofocus settings to use.
I main take four types of dog photo:
- dog running parallel (panning type shot)
- dog running towards me
- dog running towards me on a diagonal
- dog walking
- Case 1: versatile multi purpose
- Case 2: continuing to track the subject, ignoring possible obstacles
- Case 3: instantly focus on subjects suddenly entering AF points
- Case 4: subjects that accelerate of decelerate quicklu
- Case 5: erratic subjects moving quickly in any direction
- Case 6: subjects that change speed and move erratically
Anyone else photograph dogs of something similar?
Thanks
