5D3 and 60D RAW exif content

I'm in the middle of correcting the time some images were taken on my 5D3 and 60D.

I've been able to do it with the .jpgs I took but when I've gone to have a look at the .cr2s the exifs, according to Properties > Details in Windows 7, hold much, much less data. Basically Name, Type, Folder path, Size, Date created, Date modified, Attributes, Owner and Computer. Nothing about exposure, no GPS data from the 5D3 images, not even the image size.

Is this as expected?

Have you installed the latest codec pack from Microsoft? Might sort it:

I'd say the Windows 7 raw codec doesn't fully understand cr2 format. It works for me in Windows 8. Check to see if there is an update available from Microsoft.

Thanks to both of you. I was missing the codec pack.

I had actually installed it previously on Windows 8 but have removed Windows 8 from both my desktop and tablet and reinstalled Windows 7 on them after being totally frustrated with 8's idiosyncrasies. Intuitive it aint...
