I have had my 70-200 f4L IS for over two years and I still
it.
I was returning it to safe storage yesterday and noticed a noise coming from the rear part of the lens when its gently shaken from side to side (and I do mean gently).
I cannot believe I have been using this lens for over 2 years and only just noticed this?? It has always struck me as being a very SOLID piece of equipment and now it has a rattle
So obviously the next thing I did was a Google search and lo and behold some do it some don't, some new ones do some don't???
So I am wondering if anyone has returned their lens to Canon to have this investigated and if so what was the outcome.
Luckily for me Canon Elstree is about 10 min away in the car but information from other users is always useful.
Thanks in advance
David
