The wedding bag is insured for about £30K.

If I stay overnight on a shoot I chain the kit to the radiator. I get some very odd looks doing this in 5 star hotels.....
 
Somewhere north of £6k.

D700, drive and the Nikon holy trinity.

(And I'm slightly uncomfortable dwelling on this - it's not the gear, it's what you do with it, etc.....)
 
I was in Peru recently. There were a bunch of American photographers there. We got in a very top heavy boat. At one point it looked seriously likely we would capsize.

Apart from the obvious issues of pirañas (there were lots) and anacondas (rumoured) and caymans (very unlikely in the lake but lots in the nearby river so it's possible) I reckoned I could swim to shore and that we'd generally be OK.

Not so much the kit. A quick tot up and I reckon there was > $100K in a small top heavy rowing boat.....
