Some muscular Victorian engineering at the London Museum of Water & Steam at Kew Bridge. I'd last visited shortly after the place opened as the Kew Bridge Steam Museum in the mid 1970s.

Built in 1846, apparently, it's the largest working beam engine in the world.

great engineering shots those and reportage as well...its not all pic is it...got to support with details

your no 3 shot reminds me of a three legger i worked on as an apprentice in the shipyards...1960' ish
they were great engines to work on and i wish i had photographed some of them
