My first post here so be gentle :)

Canon 450D, with a Sigma 28-70 EX with 21mm extension tube.
53mm, F16, 1/40s. ISO 100, crop and a little high pass sharpen in PS ( thanks to a guide in other section)

Welcome to the forum.

I like the idea however a lot of noise in this image. You might want to resuze to 800 pixels, otherwise forum staff will come along and break your image tags, and turn it into a link! :)

Lets see some more of your stuff.

Is it noise or the under surface of the CD?

Yeah it does look as though its been taken at a very high ISO.
Although its not noise, its all the tiny "pits" that make up the data on the CD.
 
I wasn't sure if it was noise of the data pits. I like it
