A cold afternoon in New Brighton

Family fishing at Fort Perch lighthouse, New Brighton, Wirral. Is it just me, or are these images soft/oof?

All with 30D and 70-200f4L.

It was freezing on the beach. I was wearing trousers, walking shoes, thermal base layer, thin long sleeved fleece top, padded thermal gilet, thick fleece jacket, and hat. This was a grab shot - I couldn't believe what this girl was (not) wearing!

Any C&C appreciated, as always.

This is bothering me with many of my shots. With the shutter speed of this one, 1/250 at f7.1, there shouldn't have been any camera shake ...
