A couple from a newbie

Hi there. New to the DSLR game, with Canon 40D + 18-55 IS. Here's a couple from my first attempt, as the Tour of Britain recently passed through Durham.

Sharpness on the lead rider in the first is great as is the gradual DOF drop off on the other riders. The look on the yellow coats make the second shot. Well done.

#1 is great
#2 needs either better panning technique or a faster shutter speed to sharpen it up a bit
