And although I ordered a black one they sent me a grey one as instead.

Now where shall I try it first?
 
Looks pretty smart in grey - I have a black one.
 
Can I now hide the dark side inside a group of the "light"

Now to add a TC, Have you got one if so which?
 
I have the TC14E 11 and the TC17E 11 - both great with this lens.

I'd heard of them but ordered a black, however now I can mingle in dsguise with those "others".

It looks more a grey than white.
 
nope af-s - don't believe everything Nikon say! In good light anyway. At F8 it's good for AF

Now for the silly question.

What are the new Kenko DG TC's like compare d to Nikon?

Don't get me wrong I'll happily buy a Nikon TC (I don't want to ruin a good lens with a cheap add-on) but you have to wonder what do you get for a lot less money.
 
Congrats on the new purchase. It's strangely good looking in grey. Looking forward to seeing the results. This lens is on my ever growing wish list.

Nope confirmed by DHL that no duty is due.

Regretfully no but was fully prepared to pay duty and VAT as was still a good saving.

Used Chinaarts who without my knowledge put a much reduced value on the box.

Some other suppliers will refund VAT though.

I think i'd have found something bigger than that stool to balance it on :eek:

Mind you is that wallpaper on the floor or is it some clever optical illusion
