Thanks for all the comments, not sure i know enough to give any real pointers.
Lighting the victim (sorry, subject) flatly seems to work best unless you have
a specific background you want to use. Shooting top threequarters does away
with the need to add shadows on the ground.
The green screen just does away with the laborious task of cutting out the
hard way, which isnt impossible just a pain at times. The chromakey software
does it with a couple of clicks..
