She currently has a P&S but wants to take her photography further.
He's prepared to spend up to £500, my initial thought was to go for a top of the range bridge camera such as the Fuji S100FS as it seems to tick all the boxes but having had a think about it a Canon G9 or G10 might be more suitable.
He's not keen for her to have a DSLR as the £500 budget won't go far and he's pretty sure he'll end up carrying it if they go out anywhere.
So the Canon G9-10, would you recommend it in this situation :shrug:
