It was seriously low light, and I screwed up the cam settings, but just about got away with it and actually got a couple printed!

C&C welcome, just don't mention ISO and shutter speed, I learned a lot that night!

Thats the amateurs isnt it?

I've shot them before!

4 and 5 for me, good efforts in poor lighting!

Yes it is!
I'm super impressed, my girlfriend went to school with them, and they're bloody good :D

Hi cyclone
At least you got some shots you could print.
No1 has a nice line of musicians. Guy's shirt looks a little overexposed as does the guy in middle's face - you may be able to improve in PS.
Like the colour in last, but looks a little soft. The speed used looks very fast so I think it's a focus issue.

Cheers Rockshifter,
it's all down to those settings, the camera was doing it's best to get down to ISO100 (because I told it to!). If I had used a higher base ISO then the camera would have used a smaller aperture and focus would have been less critical, just hope I get another chance.

why on earth did they tell you to shoot iso 100? madness.

edit:- i need to learn to read! don't worry bout low iso's for band stuff!! I rarely shoot bands under 400, a lot is done 1600.
