Well, it would be rude not to - saying as everyone else is capturing hover flies!
Spent ages today waiting and waiting for something interesting to come along and finally this little chap arrived.
I was using two off camera flashes, but only one went off (the radio one to the left worked, the optical one to the right didn't :bang
so I had to boost the exposure in raw studio.
Extension tubes 1 & 2 with kit 18-55 lens locked off at F11
Exposure set at 1/160 and ISO 400.
DOF and focus was much easier to handle when using the rocking method of manual focus because of the locked off F11 and not using the full set of extension tubes.
I still need a lot of practice, but I'm not complaining as it's fun!
