Two good flight captures Alan, however both seem to be suffering badly with noise due to perhaps large crops :shrug:

Hi, thanks for comments. The Jay is at ISO 6400. It doesn't look as noisey on flickr though

Agree about the noise and the blown white in the jay but to get them in flight is brilliant

Thanks for comments. I'm not overly concerned about the noise. It was more an exercise in capturing flight shots of really difficult subjects.

Anyway, I've applied a little more noise reduction. Hopefully its made an improvement

Thanks Pelly. I has thought Sand Martin as you can see a bit of white under the chin

Nice shots, but I agree with others about the noise on both.

I can see why you thought Sand Martin anyways, if it was a Sand Martin, you'd see more white on the underside and more of a white ring round its neck.
