A little lens help!

Hoya HMC Wide-Auto f=28mm 1:2.8

Bought this from eBay for the pricey sum of £8 as it said not sure if it works. The aperture blades move smoothly, focus ring is slightly loose but still smooth. I was wondering if anyone knew what the mount is? It was advertised as M42, but isn't!

Any ideas?

No there is no adapter on, that was my first thought, unless I just can't get it off, but it doesn't seem like an adapter?

Had a suggestion that it could be Olympus Mount? :shrug:

Not sure if that's an OM mount, I think it's missing a pin for that?

It does look very much like and adapator, you have to move the button then holding it in its moved position unscrew the adaptor, they can be very stiff.

Looks to me like maybe its a PK mount??

No, definatelynot an adapter, the aperture ring is a part of it, it is all the mount.

If you're still struggling, contact SRB Griturn http://www.srb-griturn.com they have been very helpful with my FIL, not necessarily the cheapest around, but there knowledge and helpfulness from what my FIL says has been excellent.

They are normally at Focus on Imaging as well, you could take the lens along and try different adapters there ...

Is there more than one fitment for them though?

OM is the fitment. Olympus offer other lens mounts but that one is OM, mainly associated with film SLR's.
