I went out very early this morning with the intention of taking some photos of the River Ouse. On my way, I came across some straw bales in a field and on impulse decided to go and ask the farmer if I could take some photos.

Anyway after half an hour chatting with one of the farm workers learning all about oat and wheat straw baling (yes there is a difference) I spent a couple of hours filling my boots with farm activity. Never did make it to the river :D

Here are some of the photos I took. C&C very welcome

Like them all but would have cropped or cloned the posts and wires out the first one, these are quite different giving a wider view of what we (and I) normally take, good idea! (y)

Nice collection - like No 4 the best, especially with the sunlight playing over the cut straw.

Thanks

Was that a reject bale - the one on the left in photo No 2?
