Hope that some one may be able to help. the problem is this
1. Have a Red Snapper tripod and head, but while the tripod is fine, I just cannot get on with the pan and tilt head. The problem being that there is too much play (about 30 degrees in the tilt) and will never get tight enough.
2. Also have a manfrotto which I got off ebay, now the advert had the weight limit as higher than my D300 and 70-300. But petty sure that it is untrue as, when locking the ball head, creep can be seen in some long exposure pictures.
If some one could suggest a head that could hold a D300 and 70-300 still that would be most welcome. Have had a look at one of them three-legged things ball heads but have not heard too much about them.
Only limit is it cannot be more than £80.
