I registered on Flickr a while back but never bothered uploading anything. Well today I did bother and when looking at my photostream I notice the little 'pro' icon. It seems that as my internet is through BTinternet I get Pro for free :D

Do you have to sign up to flick using your btyahoo email address or can you use any of the bt internet service provision email addys ?
 
No idea John, I registered with my main btinternet address.

:shrug: I don't know exactly! :lol: The bits I picked up were there's no 100mb/month upload limit, and all your pictures, not just your newest 200, are available to view.
 
You have to use your BT email address, you get pro which means no upload limits and you can have more than 200 photos online :)
 
i noticed this too. you cant beat geting stuff for free.
 
It's made my day as sad as that sounds lol, I've had a wholly unimpressive Saturday until I found that!
 
You can also create as many sets/folders as you like, where as with the normal non-pro account you can only create 3.
 
I've got a pro account as well. I thought it was because flickr think I am great! Thanks for ruining the fantasy!!!! :-)
 
Sorry :) I'd be interested in hearing how you made your home made gobos though ;)

You can sign up with any of the email addresses attached to your bt account (ie the subsiduary accounts with @btinternet.com).
 
It's worth remembering that you only get the pro as long as you stay with BT. I've been sifting through all my BT paperwork; I can't find it, but I'm sure I had a letter when I signed up that said about Flickr. Might be all in my head though :lol:

I'm actually quite annoyed!! I'm with BT and never realised that I got a free pro account!!!

I only just bought a pro account, any way to get a refund?? Any way to transfer all my images to my newly registered email address??

Same here. I have two flickr accounts, one with my BT email address and one with a different email. I'm sure you can guess which one all my photos are on :bang:

Anyone know if I can merge the accounts to save me uploading my photos again?

for a refund i suppose you could contact them, since you are paying for a service that you were getting already it shouldn't be a problem.

i don't know about transfering to a new e-mail address but you can alter the e-mail address on your account, i initially created my account with an old Yahoo log in then changed it to my BTinternet address, cant remember where the option is, i think it's under the 'me' bit
