This was taken at Royal Dornoch Golf Course on a stunningly sunny day. The guy drained the putt and accepted banknotes for his trouble. Happy man.:D

Some very rich colours in there. I'm not keen on the white sign and would have gone for a closer crop including the flag and the slight incline behind. This would move the golfers more to the edge which I think would have improved the composition.

Your description is much more dramatic than the photo. I feel that to be able to describe it as such you'd need to be down low in line with the hole, ball and player focusing on the ball.

Although I doubt he'd appreciate your presence!

That is exactly what I had in mind. I do prefer it to the original.
