I attended this exhibition on Tuesday with my mum.
Locally there has been lots of publicity around it. An American had a residency for a term at the then Trent Poly. Some v good photos. I remember some of the now gone locations (I was only 5 in '76 but some of the places lasted well into the 80's/90's, a few remain unchanged).
I enjoyed it. As well as the displayed prints there were two cases of contact sheets, letters he received whilst in Nottm along with other contemporary materials.
Whilst very good the display was smaller than I expected, probably due to all the publicity it received I thought there would be more. Entry is free and it's certainly worth a visit but in all honesty I couldn't recommend a visit just for the exhibition. If you are in Nottm anyway then I'd say go along.
