A sky and a ferry

Early morning by Derwent Water a few days ago. The ferry is one of two that circumnavigate (in opposite directions) the lake. They're much favoured by walkers who want to extend (or shorten!) their walks.

Looks like a beautiful place... but I can't help thinking it would look much better without the ferry in the shot!

On here the picture ain't loading, but I've had a look via the link. But I agree the overall composition doesn't look quite right. Without the ferry it would be a nice landscape. But with it and all that sky it doesn't quite balance. As you haven't ticked for image editing I wont post up my shot at it, but consider reducing the sky (cropping off about a half of it) and then doing a little PPing. I added about 2 stops exposure to the hull of the ferry to bring out the detail there and then a gentle USM to sharpen up the image :)
