A Trembling of Finches

Well chaffinch anyway. I googled the collective name for chaffinch and I couldn't seem to find a definitive answer.....any ideas? :shrug:

And finally, the object of their affections

There do seem to be a lot more Chaffs around my local spot this year.

I may be wrong, but I don't think their is a specific collective name for chaffinches. They must just be referred to by the noun for finches. Maybe? Maybe not!

Nice shots. I have always heard a group of finches being referred to as a 'charm', mostly to Goldfinches though.
