it did focus right. but your depth of field (depth of focus) wasnt great enough to cover the whole leaf front to back.

The higher f number you have the aperture at.. the greater the depth of field... (to be basic) and f5.6 isnt very small an aperture (high number) to enable that greater depth of field.

try again or something similar with F 11 or 16 and see if it improves.

Cheers I will in 6 weeks when I get my camera back.

Just out of interest, is there a quick(er) way of viewing a photo's exif info than saving it then looking at it's properties?

Thanks, Glyn.

Just found this after a quick Google

http://regex.info/exif.cgi

Just right click on any online image selrct copy image location (in Firefox anyway can't remember what it is in IE) then paste that into the Image ur box and push the button. Here is the result

After reading more there is a FF extension of this at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3905
Read the pink table on top right also gives another quicker method by dragging the exif button to your button bar, works ok in FF anyway.

I use Firefox and an Add-on called FxIF. Once installed you just right click an image and properties, then the main EXIF data is there.
