Not very specific I know as I don't often photograph birds & am pretty much clueless when it comes to different types :bonk:
I'd be guessing some kind of finch maybe but thought I'd check in with the experts here

Nice shot Mike, Im finding the Chaffies a bit elusive in my garden.
I too have a few shots of a female, she comes and sits on the bird table on her tod... mine arent as nice as this though
