Very nice photo - it must have been stunning at one time but, the decay adds another dimension although sad to see it fading away. I would love to find an old building to photograph. :)
 
I'd also love to go and view these although the ones in the link are Italian?

Even so, I'd love to go and explore French mansions :D

Maybe we should arrange a TP meet :LOL:
 
I agree, wholeheartedly. There's something about these decaying, elegant, houses that makes it very easy to imagine the people that once lived there and the scenes that played out in them. My parents had friends who lived in the lodge of a long abandoned country house in the Scottish borders when I was a kid. Can't remember where it was, but exploring it left a lasting impression on me, and I can still recall the house and the ruined gardens quite well. Health and Safety would probably have a fit nowadays, at the thought of a ten year old doing this but my old man just waited for me, smoking his pipe, and obviously thought this was perfectly normal behaviour!
